Film Ads In Iran#29: Nightcomers

The Nightcomers (1971) starring Marlon Brando and directed by Michael Winner, the English director who passed away last month, shown at the Tehran's uptown film theater Shahre Farang. Before the revolution (also after that), there was no organization for rating and certifying films in Iran (sure there was censor, but once films passed the censor, theaters had no obligation to follow any age restriction), but posters were using fake age limits as a sort of publicity. As this ad shows, the publicity campaign has used "no under-18 is allowed into the theater"  to arouse curiosity and draw more audience to the film, especially those of under eighteen! All in a Night's Work (Joseph Anthony, 1961) starring Dean Martin and Shirley MacLaine opened in six theaters on April 17, 1962 while a screening in original language is announced for 22th of April.

An unidentified Warrner Brother release from August 18, 1964, translated as From Midnight To Dawn (cinemascope, color) which because of the lack of any credit seems like a sexploitation film. It opened in some "Summer Theaters  (open air screening at the rooftop of the theaters, during the hot summer nights of Tehran) such as Niagara, Central, Rex, Empire and BB (named after Bridgitte Bardot!)

Another unidentified and seemingly sensual film, titled as Hot Nights which closes our circle of "night films" built around sex themes. This one, too, is in cinemascope and color, as well as dubbed in Persian. Any information regarding the last two films is welcome.
